The Role
As Head of Primary, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the primary section, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and the co-principals to implement whole-school improvement strategies, with a particular focus on:
• Raising standards through the effective use of data and assessment to track pupil progress and inform teaching.
• Enhancing the quality of teaching and learning across all year groups, championing evidence-based pedagogy and differentiated instruction.
• Developing and supporting staff, building a collaborative, motivated, and high-performing team of teachers and teaching assistants.
• Embedding a strong, internationally-minded curriculum, drawing on best practice from frameworks such as the English National Curriculum and/or IB PYP, while embracing YCYW's unique bilingual approach.

Who We Are Looking For
You will be a passionate and resilient leader with a clear vision for primary education. You will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree; a Master's in Educational Leadership would be an advantage.
• Significant senior leadership experience in a primary or international school setting, with a proven ability to lead and develop teaching teams.
• A strong track record of leading school improvement, using data intelligently to raise outcomes and drive change.
• Deep knowledge of international curricula and modern pedagogy, with the flexibility to meet the needs of a diverse pupil body.
• A genuine commitment to holistic, child-centred education, ensuring every pupil thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese (spoken and written) is highly desirable for effective engagement with the school community.
• An unwavering commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare, with the highest personal and professional standards.
