| Job Description: |
Major Responsibilities:
Develop teaching plans in accordance with the Hong Kong DSE subject examination syllabus to complete teaching tasks
Execute the teaching tasks assigned by the school, build a DSE teachers team, and be responsible for the management of DSE subjects in various grades of high school;
Actively participate in optimizing teaching programs, curriculum development, teaching research activities, and other work in accordance with the education development plans of the Foundation and the School;
Participate in the development of curriculum planning, resource development, unit planning, work planning, and teaching strategies in the subject area;
Actively communicate with students and parents, care for and guide students to improve their academic performance, consolidate teaching achievements, and create a good learning atmosphere;
Cooperate with the school to carry out teaching administrative affairs, student discipline, accident prevention, and other management work;
Ensure the coordination and integration of the DSE curriculum with other courses offered in the school (such as IGCSE, A-Level, etc.).
Provide counselling for students regarding DSE elective subjects to help them make informed choices.
Responsible for pre-exam preparations, including exam scheduling, mock exams, and material preparation.
Coordinate DSE exams and university application
Analyse exam results, evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, and propose improvement suggestions.
Collaborate on related work for cross-school DSE coordination. Assist the school in promoting and publicizing the DSE curriculum in the market and enrollment activities;
Response for teaching courses according to the actual needs.
Complete other tasks assigned by the Secondary Coordinator or Co-Principals diligently. |
| Job Requirements: |
DSE Coordinator : We are looking forward to this candidate with a Hong Kong identity card for the coordinator position. Based on the Hong Kong DSE syllabus, comprehensively lead the teaching of DSE courses, team management, curriculum development, student counseling, examination coordination, and marketing promotion; concurrently take charge of teaching one to two subjects; and participate in campus management and educational administration.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree or above, with more than 5 years of teaching experience and teaching management experience; those with rich teaching and management experience may relax the requirements to a bachelor's degree；
Priority given to those with DSE teaching experience in Hong Kong high school;
Hold a nationally recognized teacher qualification certificate;
Fluent in English, able to use it as a working language;
Strong communication skills, language expression ability, high sense of responsibility and affinity;
Possess good professional ethics and enterprising spirit, love the education industry, have affinity, and good at communicating with students and parents
Identify with Yew Chung and Yew Wah's mission and values, and actively work towards them. |
