| Job Description: |
Duties:
The school counselor will work with the LSD when there is significant overlap of students.
• Emotional counseling support for students, their families and staff.
• Advice and strategies for use by students, their families and staff in and out of the classroom.
• Social skills training.
• Assist with the creation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Skills/qualifications:
• Better to have some Chinese language skills
• Holder of Bachelor Degree with relevant credentials in Counseling, Special Education or related education field
• Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching in a school setting
• Have experience teaching English as a second language, working with individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges in a school setting
• Support Yew Chung's values
• Have passion for teaching students
• Genuine passion and demonstrated commitment in special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook and commitment in teamwork |
