| Job Description: |
The post-holder is expected to support the operation of the Library. He/She will be responsible for:
•cataloging and classifying library materials in various formats;
•managing and maintaining serial collection;
•performing circulation services;
•handling basic reference enquiries;
•assisting to update the library website;
•processing and filing documents; and
•taking on any other duties as deemed necessary by the Librarian. |

Job Purpose:
To maintain an orderly library so that students and teachers can find books with ease, maintain a good atmosphere conducive to learning and reading. To assist Head Librarian in cataloging books, periodicals and journals.
Duties:
• Keep records of circulation and materials.
• Keep shelves and library reading area clean and tidy.
• Supervise students in use of the library.
• Select and order books in consultation with Teacher Librarian.
• Process and laminate new books.
• Keep database updated.
• Assist teachers and parents with the use of the Library.
• Catalogue resources according to required protocols.
• Other tasks as directed by the Teacher Librarian.
Skills/qualifications:
• At least Bachelor degree, major in Library or English is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Librarian-related working experience is a plus.
• Warm, outgoing personality with strong customer focus.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about international education. |
